The God for All vision and the coming together of Mission Communities is about positioning the church for growth, making disciples and building on the excellent connections that many churches have with their communities.
Many people will have come across Mission Action Planning (MAP) in local church or parish situations. At its simplest it should be about asking; what is God doing in our community and how we can get involved?
The downloadable document on this page raises some questions about what this might look like in the new Mission Community context and includes useful practical advice on how people within Mission Communities can plan together in missional ways.
Accompanying the Revisiting Mission Action Planning guide is a practical exercise called ‘Shifting Focus’ (see downloads) which will help you identify with your leadership team, where your current ministry, mission, and structure balance is and where you want it to be.
The Community Profiles document is a downloadable resource to help Mission Communities draw together a clear picture of their community or neighbourhood within the Mission Action Planning process.
