Abbey is a community of people seeking to connect more deeply with God and to connect God with the whole of our lives. We follow a way of life based on the teachings and life of Jesus Christ, using a set of guidelines to help us understand what this looks like in our time and setting. The culture is one of working out our journey of faith together, where any question can be asked without hesitation.  All are welcome, whatever your beliefs or background. All that is asked is to be open to journeying together and to explore a way of life using the framework of the 10 Waymarks.

The end goal is grow as people, to become more like Jesus Christ, and the outcome of that is leading better lives. Lives that are more loving, more just, more peaceful, more restorative and more God-shaped.

Abbey builds on ancient Celtic traditions and seeks to marry both contemplation and action. The first local group has been established in Kendal, with a regular pattern of meeting including services, shared meals and meetings in our homes to encourage and support each other on our journeys of faith.  We welcome others to join us or to use our resources to establish your own communities of pilgrims.
