Maranatha Yoga uses classical Hatha Yoga practices that portray universal spiritual themes and gives us a means of connecting with our spiritual selves through the practice of yoga and meditation which draws on Christian spirituality. The physicality of the postures with the mindful meditative qualities of the Christian reflections allows the participant to connect with their whole selves. Through this connectivity there is a oneness between the physical, spiritual and emotional, a harmonious balance between being physically fit and spiritually healthy. Maranatha Yoga offers a synergy into both yogic philosophy and Christian spirituality and is supported by the practical experience of teaching yoga for over 30 years. Maranatha Yoga was developed by Christine Pickering who has been a practitioner of Hatha Yoga for over 40 years, a trainer of yoga teachers, a trained Spiritual Director and a member of the World Community for Christian Meditation.
